Last night I dreamt of many things, some very recent and some very not. Of course, once again I don't remember all of it, but I remember quite a bit of it.
I was back at school, living without a roommate in a dorm that had two dining halls: one high up above the ground and open to everyone in the building, and one secret one in room 333, which you had to have a key to get into. There were little bedroom areas off of it, each assigned to one of the people living in 333, but mostly it was the dining area that was kind of like a Burger King/Wendy's/McDonalds, but with more (better) options.
I found the bird's nest from Jessi's barn in front of the building, and I took off one of my (black, high-heeled, knee-high) boots to try and cover them up so they wouldn't get stepped on. Then one cracked, and I thought I'd killed them all, but they were hatching just then. I put them in my boot and walked to one of the classroom buildings. There was a talk show going on in one, and I snuck on and held up my boot to one of the people being interviewed. "Do you know the Bird Lady?" I asked — the "bird lady" being the person a baby bird from Jessi's barn was sent to — and she shook her head.
At another point I was with my family — my brothers, parents, and dogs, that is — in some field where much of our living room furniture was set up. There was something involving a voodoo doll of someone, and then we all had them, but they were like action figures and set up on a side table. There was a flash in the sky, and then Ken (who had dark hair) was gone, and so was his doll. We looked around and saw his doll hanged from the fireplace, but my mother said that he probably wasn't dead, because voodoo dolls don't really work. Then we heard a report on the news of a flying red disk overhead, and immediately it went over us. It looked like a frisbee, except it was humungous — at least the size of one of the Great Lakes.
At yet another point I was back in front of my dorm, and Grace's ghost was there. I felt only somewhat sad about it, because she was at least back to talk to be and was not in pain or unhappy. I was trying to catch her up on what had happened since she'd died, but I was having trouble remembering myself. I knew I had to tell her about someone's death, but I couldn't recall whose. Brianna? No, she was in London. Maybe one of Brianna's friends or relatives. Maybe my cousin? But I'd thought it was someone she'd known. I couldn't remember. We sat outside for a long time, under trees in a yard the likes of which they don't have anywhere near my school in Manhattan.
At yet another point I was in the basement of some building looking for restrooms with Tia, and we found what looked like a normal set of stalls, except when we turned on the light and opened the doors it turned out that every two doors were one stall, a nice, clean bathroom set on its own, except without full doors and with two toilets each. The sinks outside the stalls were pretty much pointless.
I don't remember anything else.
